A young Albanian man has fallen into the hands of the police in England, after he was caught taking care of 213 narcotic plants in a ‘bar house’.
Drilon Zelaj, 19, is said to have planted the drug in six rooms in a large four-story house in Bradford.
According to British media, the police had monitored the young Albanian for several months and then wrote in the apartment where the young man was to carry out checks.
Zelaj initially did not open the door to the police, but they entered through the back door, after hearing the movements of the 19-year-old inside the building and then made his arrest.
He initially denied that he was involved in the production of cannabis plants and said that he had not built the ‘grass house’, and that his role was to water the plants and turn the lights on and off.
Prosecutor Ken Green said Zelaj, an Albanian national, had no previous convictions in the UK.
The 19-year-old told the court that he had arrived in England from France for a better life and with the hope of sending them to his poor family in Albania.
Zelaj had initially worked in a car wash before engaging in the cultivation of narcotic plants.
