One week after the big decision in Brussels to start negotiations, Bulgaria through its foreign ministry confirms that Northern Macedonia has not met the conditions for the first intergovernmental roundtable.
According to Bulgaria, the negotiating framework should contain the necessary guarantees regarding the implementation of the Good Neighbor Agreement reached in 2017, which at the moment, as stated by the Bulgarian MFA, have not been met and therefore the conditions have not been met. for the First Intergovernmental Conference.
This stalemate between Northern Macedonia and Bulgaria could affect the first intergovernmental table for Albania, while the process is not divided and EU leaders have made decisions for the two countries together.
