Read how to eradicate this habit of your being…
When the puppy arrives at your house you should immediately start shaving and preventing the dog from jumping on people.
It is therefore important that you first warn people (at home, guests, passers-by, not to harass and pet the puppy if he starts to jump, but to ignore him and walk away from him.
Of course, since socialization is very important, this does not mean that any contact between the puppy and humans should be prevented.
In fact, the goal is to teach the puppy from an early age that he will receive care, caress and sweets when he does not dance.
The principle is the same in adulthood, except that it is more difficult to change and eradicate strongly learned and ingrained behavior.
When it starts to jump on you, turn your back and ignore it (do not look at it, do not turn to it, do not push it).
Any caution, even negative, e.g. pushing and shouting, can be motivating enough to continue unwanted behavior.
If you are at home while the dog is demanding, get out of the room and go to the next bar for tens of seconds, then quietly go out and repeat this procedure.
Encourage desirable behavior with praise or petting and in a calm tone so that the dog does not bother again.
Of course, do not physically punish dancing!
Perseverance and continuity are the key to this training! If you need support, consult your veterinarian or dog behavior expert.
