This afternoon, the GJKKO communicated the security measure to the former Mayor of Lushnja, Fatos Tushe, and 10 other persons involved in “abuse of office, and in cooperation”, “abuse of public tenders” or “forgery of documents”.

The file states that Fatos Tushe and citizen Flamur Peqini, acting director of the Public Property Enterprise in cooperation with officials and other persons have favored the company “Euro Alb shpk” with administrator citizen Bujar Murati in the procurement for the rehabilitation of the irrigation canal of Bishqethëm village and Bitaj, Kolonjë Administrative Unit, with a fund of ALL 28.5 million.
The investigation has shown that although this company was declared the winner and a contract was signed with it on November 11, 2020, while the benefit and works were actually carried out by businessman Ibrahim Lami of “Loti SHPK”, who is a close link of the mayor Fatos Tushe and Flamur Peqini.
The file clarifies that the investigation for the mayor of Lushnja has started on July 22, 2020 after a referral from the state police.
In the report, the police initially explained that the citizen Flamur Peqini, director in the Municipality of Lushnja, carried out fictitious and corrupt procedures with tenders, mentioning as a concrete case the installation of electricity poles before the tender. The police have also denounced this citizen for the misuse of fuel in the sector he led.
In one case, it turns out that the businessman-owner of the company “Loti SHPK” has intervened at the Faculty of Medicine for the daughter of the mayor Fatos Tushe to take an exam.
