The Speaker of the Assembly in Serbia, Ivica Dacic, has stated that in order for there to be progress in the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, pressure must be put on Kosovo. Ekspress writes that Dacic said that Albin Kurti is like a German who does not listen to anyone.
“Neither Brussels nor the United States. Albanian politicians in Pristina are divided. So some are American, some European and the third German. Albin Kurti is said to be more German than American“, Said Dacic.
He further said that Serbia is constructive and that they will never leave the negotiating table.
“We will endure everything stoically, we will be patient and we will never leave the table where the negotiations are taking place. Serbia will be constructive “, said Dacic.
Yesterday’s talks between the negotiating delegations are the first at this level since the first meeting between the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, and the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, on June 15, of the same year. The Kosovo-Serbia dialogue process, facilitated by the European Union, started in 2011. In the dialogue, the Serbian side mostly insists on the establishment of the Association of Serb-majority Municipalities. The agreement on the establishment of the Association of Serb-majority municipalities was reached in the framework of the Brussels dialogue in 2013, which agreement was ratified by the Assembly of Kosovo. Even just a few days ago, US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Mathew Palmer called for compliance with the agreement.
