A little while ago, 60,000 doses of the Chinese Sinovac vaccine arrived at Rinas Airport.
To wait for this amount, two ministers were present at the airport, that of Health, Ogerta Manastirliu and that of Reconstruction, Arben Ahmetaj.
Manastirliu stressed that the received dose will serve the age groups which have so far received the first dose of this vaccine, while adding that it aims to reduce the bandage of the age groups that are vaccinated, starting with public transport employees.
“60,000 doses of the Sinovac vaccine have just arrived. These are part of the second program of the agreement that has been made by the government. This will be used by people who have received the first vaccine and vaccination will start with the second dose. The number of vaccinations until yesterday is 712 thousand vaccinations. Mass vaccination of the population remains our priority.
We are in the age group plus 60. We are also vaccinating with all the employees of the tailors and the employees of the hotel structures to facilitate the tourist season. We will also include public transport employees. The situation is normalized, there is a steady number of active cases, also due to the fact that mass vaccination is giving its effect. It’s the place to show success. Starting the next day, the vaccines arrive again, from Pfizer. There are also 40 thousand AstraZeneca vaccines. We will continue to intensify the vaccination plan by reducing the age group“, Said Manastirliu.
While Minister Ahmetaj, the provision of vaccines, billed as a success to the government, which according to him, has managed to win this battle against the virus.
“Today is the right moment for reflection to go back to our battle with COVID-19.
We have won this battle, attention must continue. The vaccination plan is supplied not only with Sinovac, Pfizer and AstraZencea vaccines but also beyond. No vaccine is missing today. It is a promise kept, we say today, after April 25th. It is not about elections, but about what a government will do“, Said Ahmetaj.
On Favebook, the prime minister suggests that other doses of the Pfizer vaccine are also expected to arrive on Monday.
““Mother Teresa” Airport – 60,000 doses of Sinovac vaccine have just arrived, while we are waiting for more doses of Pfizer vaccine on Monday, to continue without stopping with our mass vaccination plan, for a tourist season, beyond the pandemic“, Says Rama.
