Kadri Veseli’s lawyer has demanded the release and innocence of his client in the absence of evidence.
Ben Emerson stated at the hearing in The Hague that the Prosecution has already acknowledged that there is no evidence against Kadri Veseli for committing crimes during the war in Kosovo.
“The prosecution has openly stated that there is no evidence against him either for the physical commission of the crimes, or for co-perpetration, or for aiding and abetting, or participating in any other way in these crimes,” Emmerson said.
Immediately came the response of the prosecutor in the hearing which emphasized that Vesel’s lawyer is saying incorrect things while he did not comment on the request for release or innocence of the former PDK leader.
