The opposition warns of a complete blockade of the Assembly after last night the Government gave the green light to the text of the draft law on drug control. It envisions cannabis-growing companies being able to sell the quantities of dried leaf produced abroad. VMRO DPMNE accuses that the government wants to legalize, as it is stated, the crime of Zoran Zaev. If the law is passed in the Assembly with the European flag, VMRO announced the blocking of all laws.
“Cannabis licenses that were issued in previous years are licenses for processing cannabis oil and final production for medical purposes, but not for export in the form of dried cannabis leaves, as provided by this law. Among these licenses is that of the Zaev family. “It is a public secret that the licenses for the processing of cannabis oil were issued for 300 to 500 thousand euros, money for which we suspect that they ended up with the pockets of the Zaev family” – declared Brane Petrushevski, VMRO-DPMNE.
But, according to the Prime Minister, with the daily postponement of this law, the state loses money from this business for the budget. The government plans to use some of the money for rare diseases, media, culture, education and sports. It is also planned to establish a special Agency for cannabis which will be competent to control this business.
