St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Michigan is built on an important trinity for all Albanians there. It was inaugurated on June 28, 1981.
With the arrival of a number of Albanians who went to the church of Our Lady of Reconciliation and their addition was seen necessary and the expansion and construction of a new church. Dom Prek Camaj was the one who baptized this church with the name of St. Paul. The naming of this church by this name was done on purpose. On June 29, the Catholic Church celebrates the feast of St. Peter and the Apostle Paul.
The inauguration of this church was attended by about 5 thousand people in the three days that I continue the celebration. Three sisters Gabriel Vulaj, Irene Prendecaj and Juliana Marku also serve in St. Paul’s Church today, helping to prepare children in music groups and with the Albanian language school. They settled in Detroit on January 16, 2003.
The decision to sell this church and build the new large church in Worcester Hills was made on January 19, 1999, and the inauguration took place on September 2, 2002.
There are also two statues of important figures of our nation, Gjergj Kastriot Skënderbeu and the statue of Mother Teresa.
