Aleksandar Vucic said in a written statement that he would inform the Serbian Parliament about the details of the negotiations with Pristina.
He said the only thing they had managed to talk about were requests to dig excavations in order to excavate mass graves. Vucic said the only response he received from Kurti was that Pristina would examine the terrain. On the other hand, he said that Belgrade is not protecting any criminals and that there are no problems with the excavations.
The only thing we managed to talk about at least a little bit were the requests to carry out excavations in order to discover mass graves. We asked for excavations in Kocare, but received no response, except that Prishtina will examine the terrain. We did not receive any response for some other locations. I had the understanding of the EU representatives for all these requests. The Albanians said they did not want to allow the excavation because someone could conclude how they committed the crimes. Everyone looked at each other in surprise. On the other hand, Belgrade does not protect any criminals and we have no problem with the excavations. We want to find the bodies of our victims, both soldiers and civilians. We were close to an agreement that would contribute at least some peace and stability between Serbs and Albanians, and then the Pristina delegation demanded that Veljko Odalović be replaced when they called him “Goering”.
