The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti reported today in the Assembly of Kosovo regarding the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue. In his speech in the Assembly, Kurti criticized the dialogue process so far. He said that the lack of deadlines has damaged the dialogue process with Serbia.
“The Serbian side has consistently undermined joint efforts for success. This is observed in a large part of the agreements. The campaign against the KSF, the murder of Oliver Ivanovi,, the perhaps orchestrated arrest of Marko ururqi, who was released without any fines. With all this it is intended to create the impression that normalization can only be achieved through separation. Which was then packaged to the population as an exchange of territories. Lack of timeframes has damaged the dialogue process. We are an independent country, the time that passes must change the reality in Serbia and acknowledge the crimes they have committed in Kosovo. “Why hurry, when we declared independence, no one thought of recognition by Serbia.”, said Kurti.
In his speech, Kurti criticized the European Union, emphasizing that the pressure should be on Serbia and not Kosovo. While further, he reiterated the fact that Kosovo should sit as equal to Serbia in dialogue.
“22 countries of the European Union are more than 5 countries that do not recognize Kosovo. I have invited the leaders of the opposition to discuss the dialogue, you know our approach, I am talking about what the principles should be, Serbia must accept the crimes committed in Kosovo, it must accept independence, equality of representatives, and the citizen as the winner in the end“, Declared Kurti.
