The High Inspector of Justice, Artur Metani has spoken again about the case of the magistrate Enkeleda Kapedani, who has already been suspended after the publication of the videos where she was seen showing in “Tik Tok”. Invited to the show “Arnautistan”, on McnTV, Metani talked about the methods of behavior that the magistrate should have and the division of public life between private.
Metani said those videos went public, and it’s not that they went, took Judge Kapedani’s cell phone and released private material. He even added that the place where the videos were made and what the images show are violations. Methane said a judge takes a person’s life or property and therefore needs to be more practical.
Excerpts from the conversation:
Journalist Mustafa Nano: Do you know what I think? Each of us, whether a woman or a man, in our private life can do some things, which if the public would find out, would rebuke him. Because we all have them, let’s say our whims in private life and we have our gestures, we have our impudences, but we have them in private life. In a word, you have no dilemma about this?
High Inspector of Justice Artur Metani: There is no dilemma because: first, it is not in private life and second, things have been made public. So, it is not that we went, checked at home or on the magistrate’s cell phone and took that video, which she had privately with her friends or family, and took it out in public. The fact was made public and here then come the views, to which I again stand, and this is a conviction that comes not from this case, but a personal conviction for the conduct of the official in public. That the public official must demonstrate seriousness at all times, so that when other citizens see him, he must show seriousness for the position he has, for the work he performs and moreover for the competencies he has, because I emphasize once again that with the decisions a judge or a prosecutor takes the life or property of a citizen, rightly or wrongly. For this reason, you have to be very strict in your behavior, you have to restrain yourself and you have to give up a lot of things that others can do very freely, even though it may be within the private sphere. Precisely for this effect, which your decision-making creates for the citizens.
Enkeleda Kapedani was suspended from duty a few days ago, after the videos that appeared in the media, where she appeared making slips in the court offices and listening to “gangsta” music. The judge has justified herself for her catwalks on social networks, saying that she made the videos and photos for herself to remove the stress and fatigue she had from work. Matilda Fetahu has taken her place.
