The way we eat greatly affects our health, but also our appearance. That is why we must pay attention to everything we put into our body.
But when we are on vacation we all abuse food, eating more than we should, or in some cases even skipping meals. It is extremely important that none of the meals are skipped, breakfast, lunch and dinner are extremely important.
To have a balanced food diet during the holidays, you should follow the following tips:
Always eat breakfast
All nutritionists insist that breakfast is the most important food of the day and should be filled with the necessary energies. You need to think not only about vitamins and nutrients, but also about your entire healthy meal as it is the first thing your body gets in the morning. It’s not hard because you can get a healthy breakfast almost anywhere, even if it’s just a Greek yogurt and ‘muesli’ mixed with some bananas or berries.
When we decide to go on vacation, the first thing that excites us the most is the food we are going to eat. So eat whatever you want to eat! Enjoy each bite and try something else the next day, trying new flavors and the body will feel better so pay proper attention to it.
Move a lot
Walking the beautiful places on foot is more fun than anything else. You can also end up wandering around some non-tourist spots and enjoy a first-hand local experience, which is hardly possible when you go anywhere by car. Move as much as possible to burn unnecessary calories and you will feel better. If you move a lot do not limit yourself to food.
Prepare your own food
It is always good to have more control over what you eat, especially if you are staying in a guest house where you can use the kitchen or have a kitchenette in your room. Go to the market to get seafood, buy fresh meat and fresh vegetables.
Drink plenty of water
Feeling hungry? Drink water, thirst often masks yourself from hunger, so it is good if you always have a bottle of fresh water with you wherever you go. Keep yourself hydrated and you will look and feel better no matter what you eat. Add lemon to your water and it will become a powerful antioxidant with vitamins that also helps burn calories.
Eat vegetables and fruits
Vegetables and fruits are incredibly healthy and rich in nutrients, antioxidants and vitamins. Make sure you eat as many vegetables and fruits as possible during the day, this way your body will get enough fiber.
