While we are only 3 days away from the session where the Parliament will vote for the dismissal of Ilir Meta from the role of Head of State, for the lawyer Idajet Beqiri this will happen and that there is no Constitutional Court that can save him from dismissal, because the behavior of Ilir Meta at the helm of the state was similar to that of an ordinary criminal. In an interview with Report Tv, Beqiri said that Meta totally stepped out of his role as President and behaved like a street criminal who incited violence and self-judgment by cutting off his hands if the free vote was affected. For Beqiri, these constitute criminal offenses and he believes that they will be prosecuted by SPAK and if proven, Ilir Meta risks a minimum of 10 years in prison.
“The president has not been in the role of head of state since 2017 and especially during 2020-2021 he came completely off the rails of the head of state and being a factor of unity of the people, he could not put himself above the parties but positioned himself politically in opposition and went to open war against the government. The president has called for violence, he has managed to become in the true sense of the word an ordinary criminal where he demands amputation of the hand. This is not the language of the head of state, but the language of the street criminal. He has called for violence and in such a case it is a criminal offense that prosecutes SPAK and I am convinced that if proven, Meta is sentenced to a minimum of 10 years in prison “, said Beqiri.
Lawyer Beqiri said that Meta, due to personal conflicts, managed to make Albanians enemies with the greatest ally he has always defended over the years.
“To be able to make the Albanians my enemy with the biggest ally of the Albanian nation with the US who gave us the independence of Kosovo, put us in NATO, keep us in their bosom, is unprecedented. “To enter into a personal war against the interests of Albanians and your country, it is normal that a parliament can no longer hold him president and there is no Constitutional Court to avoid his dismissal”, said Beqiri.
