It is about the anti-COVID vaccine produced by the French pharmaceutical company Sanofi, in collaboration with the English GlaxoSmithKline.
This news has been confirmed by the officials of these companies, through a statement for the media. The statement said that the third phase of testing has begun, where the vaccine produced will be injected into over 35 thousand adult volunteers in the US, Asia, Africa and Latin America.
The study will test the efficacy of this vaccine against COVID-19 and its other variants, especially the African ones. If the test is successful, this vaccine is expected to be approved for use within this year.
“Production will begin in the coming weeks to enable rapid access to the vaccine, provided it is approved for use,” the statement said.
